Global smartphone brand vivo mobile has partnered with leading South African creative Trevor Stuurman to put to work the brand’s claim of Redefined Photography with the vivo X50 Pro.

 The X50 Pro’s features such as it’s X60 zoom, various portraiture modes, and in-built gimbal stabilizer enabled Trevor to capture award-winning fashion designer, Sindiso Khumalo, as she unpacked her creative process in an intimate setting.

He spent time with her in her Cape Town Studio, visited her CMT and discussed what it means to be an award-winning African creative on the global stage. Khumalo is the recipient of the 2020 Independent Designer of the Year at the Green Carpet Awards and has, like Trevor, been featured numerous times in Vogue and WWD.

 With the help of vivo this was the first time these two creatives worked together and the result, alongside the diary unpack, was a high-fashion editorial. Photographed at The Dorp Hotel in Cape Town, these images were inspired by the sisterhood of Frida Kahlo, and were all shot on the X50PRO showcasing the extraordinary camera capabilities of the mobile device.
